The MATES students formed two Ocean Sciences Bowl Teams in the competition, which placed second and third in their respective divisions.   The New Jersey Shore Bowl Competition is “a regional competition in which students test their knowledge about the oceans and marine science-related topics,” according to OCVTS. The competition is sponsored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and its Ocean Sciences Bowl Program.
