TOMS RIVER — Ocean County officials will host a public Hanukkah celebration as the Board of Commissioners invites residents to attend the annual county menorah lighting on December 15 at 4:30 p.m.

The event, which will take place at the Ocean County Administration Complex, is open to the community and marks the county’s official recognition of the Festival of Lights. Local leaders are expected to participate in the ceremony.

County officials said the gathering is intended to bring residents together in celebration of the holiday’s themes of hope, resilience and light.
