Ocean County Remembers The Service And Sacrifice Of The Military For Memorial Day

Members of the Ocean County Board of Commissioners placed a wreath at the Veterans Memorial Monument outside the Ocean County Administration Building, Hooper Avenue, Toms River, in honor of Memorial Day and all the veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending freedom and liberty.

Ocean County is home to the largest veteran population in the state with more than 30,000 veterans living here.

The Commissioners encourage residents to attend Memorial Day ceremonies throughout the weekend to honor the service and sacrifice of the members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marines and National Guard.
