LAKEWOOD – The autistic teen that went missing in Lakewood yesterday has been found safe.

The Lakewood Scoop was the first media outlet to report it.

On Sept. 24, 17-year old Jennifer Valle-Valiente went missing after running off from a family member. She was last seen in the area of Second Street and Park Avenue at approximately 6 p.m., according to police.

The search for Valle-Valiente concluded at 11 p.m. last night and resumed Thursday morning.

Captain Gregory Staffordsmith of the Lakewood Police Department confirmed to Jersey Shore Online that Valle-Valiente was located in the company of her boyfriend. Staffordsmith said “information developed during the investigation led investigating officers to an unoccupied Woehr Avenue apartment around 10:20 this morning. She appeared to be in good health and will be reunited with her family shortly. Thanks too all who assisted our efforts.”
