TOMS RIVER – A minor gas leak caused one store in the Ocean County Mall food court to evacuate guests and workers Thursday.

The incident was first briefly mentioned on Ocean County Scanner News, and later confirmed by Toms River Police PIO Jillian Messina.

“The Sbarro in the Ocean County Mall was briefly evacuated as a preventative measure for a minor gas leak. The leak has been repaired and they are open for business,” Messina wrote via email to Jersey Shore Online. “At no time was there any danger to customers at the establishment.”
