STAFFORD — A Newark man is facing multiple drug charges after police said a late-night traffic stop in Stafford Township led to the discovery of suspected crack cocaine, heroin and a digital scale.
Stafford Township police said Patrolmen Otte and O’Rourke stopped a vehicle at about 10:17 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, near Route 72 and Stafford Square.
The driver was identified as Brandon Felix, 38, of Newark.
During the stop, officers developed reason to believe drugs were inside the vehicle, police said. A search allegedly turned up quantities of suspected crack cocaine and heroin, along with a digital scale.
Felix was arrested and taken to Stafford Township Police Headquarters for processing.
Police charged him with second-degree possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, third-degree possession of heroin with intent to distribute, two counts of third-degree drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The charges are accusations, and Felix is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
