OCEAN COUNTY – Family and friends are rallying to support a young man battling terminal cancer while ensuring he can remain at home surrounded by loved ones.

Michael Seeber, described by relatives as caring, funny and deeply loving, was diagnosed earlier this year with Stage 4 metastatic cancer. He is now on hospice care and requires around-the-clock support. His sister Katie has stopped working to be his full-time caregiver, with her husband Tom by her side, while another sister, Ashley, travels in as often as possible to spend time with him and support the family.

Relatives said hospice life has brought both good days and very difficult ones, but Mikey’s sense of humor and love for his family continue to shine through. “It’s not easy, but being together makes all the difference,” the family said.

Donations raised so far have eased the financial burden, covering travel costs and helping make Mikey’s days more comfortable. Organizers said additional funds are needed to help pay for nursing support so he can continue receiving full-time care at home.

Family members said Mikey’s greatest joy comes from spending time with children in his life — nieces, nephews, cousins and friends’ kids — who bring him comfort during his illness.

“We are still working toward bringing in additional help as Mikey needs full-time nursing care,” relatives added. “Thank you all for your prayers and generosity. Please continue to share this fundraiser.”

Supporters are encouraged to keep Mikey in their thoughts and prayers and share the fundraising page to help lighten the family’s burden.
