FREEHOLD – A former Wall Township High School teacher admitted to having sexual encounters with two of her students, authorities said.
Julie Rizzitello, 37, of Brick Township, pleaded guilty last week to two counts of second-degree sexual assault, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago. Investigators determined the acts occurred with different victims in multiple towns over several years.
Rizzitello was arrested last summer and taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. She is scheduled for sentencing on January 9, 2026, when prosecutors will recommend a 10-year prison term, mandatory sex offender registration under Megan’s Law, lifetime parole supervision, and a permanent ban from holding public office.
The case is being handled by Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Keri-Leigh Schaefer. Rizzitello is represented by attorney Mitch Ansell of Ocean Township.
