OCEAN COUNTY – The Little Egg Harbor American Legion Post 493 is hosting “Rock and Rolling 2 Zero,” a veteran suicide awareness event, Aug. 25.

The event will help support Ma Deuce Deuce, a nonprofit organization that works to help veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder, a leading cause of suicide in veterans and active duty military.

The event kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with a Dice Run at Mickey’s Port of Call Pub on Main Street in Tuckerton. Cars and trucks are also welcome. Registration is $25 for riders and $15 for passengers, with a $5 discount applied to those who register before Aug. 1. That fee includes entry into MusicFest and the barbecue.

MusicFest and the barbecue begin at 2 p.m. at the Post on Radio Road. The entry is $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Advanced tickets can be purchased at the LEH American Legion Post.

A number of local businesses, organizations and clubs are sponsoring the event. The Post is accepting more sponsors and donors.
