TRENTON – It’s official. Bradley Billhimer will replace Joseph Coronato as Ocean County Prosecutor.

Billhimer was unanimously approved 37-0 by the State senate.

He’ll be sworn in Oct. 9 at the Ocean County courthouse.

The Democrat, a criminal defense attorney in Toms River for 20-plus years, was officially nominated by Gov. Phil Murphy Sept. 17. The Senate Judiciary Committee approved that nomination four days later.

Billhimer clerked for Ocean County Superior Court Judge Barbara Ann Villano. From 2001-10, he worked at the Law Offices of Mohel & Billhimer, before striking out on his own. He’s a 2000 graduate of Widener University School of Law.
