BARNEGAT LIGHT — One of Ocean County’s own special landmarks has hit the big time. Barnegat Lighthouse State Park made its TV debut on Sept. 24 in the new ABC series “Emergence.”
If you tuned in at 10 p.m., you might have caught a glimpse of Barnegat Lighthouse State Park and Island Beach State Park in the first episode. According to New Jersey State Parks, Forests & Historic Sites, the show filmed scenes earlier this year at both parks.
While the new series may show off one of Long Beach Island’s most unique markers, the show is actually set in Long Island.
