TOMS RIVER – A Lawrenceville man was arrested for intending to distribute marijuana.
Daniel Maciejewski, 20, was charged with possession of marijuana (over 5 lbs. but less than 25 lbs) with intent to distribute, possession of over 50 grams of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office announced.
The respective OCPO Mercer County Narcotics Strike Forces and Ocean Township Police Department stopped Maciejewski when he was driving through the township Feb. 5. A search yielded the seizure of 2 pounds of marijuana, 400 THC vaping cartridges and 100 hand-rolled marijuana cigars. He was arrested and taken to Ocean Township Police headquarters.
Authorities then searched his home, where they found another 8 pounds of marijuana, 700 THC vaping cartridges, 5 ounces of “shatter” (a marijuana/THC liquid concentrate), marijuana/THC edibles, assorted drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of cash.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Asset Forfeiture Unit, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit, the Ocean Township Police Department Detective Division and K-9 Unit, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force, and the Lawrenceville Police Department participated in the arrest.
