OCEAN COUNTY – Reports of flooding and traffic problems are pouring in for Monday’s evening commute.

The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department issued a warning about the Garden State Parkway around 4:30. There’s a 10-mile back-up on GSP south from Brick Township through Toms River due a motor vehicle crash, most likely aggravated by the afternoon downpours.

Brick Township Police issued a separate warning about traveling around town due to “the recent amount of rain.”

The Point Pleasant Police Department is also warning motorists of flooding around that borough, specifically at Bridge Avenue, Riverwood Avenue, and Beaver Dam Road.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch for the entire state, and a flood warning for a large swath of Burlington County. Rain amounts weren’t reported at press time.
