Fiery Car Crash At AC Expressway Toll Leaves 3 Dead

  HAMILTON TOWNSHIP – Three people have died after car bursts into flames, crashing into a toll plaza on the Atlantic City Expressway Sunday night, New Jersey State Police said.

  The incident occurred around 10 p.m. near the Egg Harbor Toll Plaza in Hamilton Township.

  “There was a car that crashed into a toll plaza and it did catch fire. The car was fully engulfed,” a sergeant at the State Police Atlantic City Expressway station said. 

  According to State Police, three people inside the car died and a fourth person was treated for minor injuries. Police have yet to confirm the cause of the crash or how fast the car was traveling.

  As a result, the expressway was closed at Exit 28 eastbound in Hamilton Township in Atlantic County, police said.

  At this time, the incident is still under investigation.
