WALL – Township police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver who struck a person operating a riding lawn mower and then left the scene.
Police said a vehicle was traveling west on Ocean Road shortly before 11 a.m. when it hit a commercial riding mower, throwing the operator to the ground. The driver continued west toward Samuel Drive without stopping.
Information on the victim’s condition was not immediately available.
Anyone who can identify the vehicle or its driver is asked to call Wall police officer Orin McKay at 732-449-4500, ext. 1178.
Residents with home surveillance footage from the area are asked to send it to surveillance@wallpolice.org
