HOLMDEL – Red and Yellow have left the building.

The beloved M&Ms characters were on display during a KIDZ BOP concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel on Aug. 19. The 3-foot displays were stolen, probably some time after the concert, New Jersey State Police said.

“First, we’ll start this off by informing you that there were no signs of melted chocolate at the scene, so we’re fairly certain they didn’t melt,” a statement from the State Police Facebook account read. “And no, they didn’t quit and walk off the job. And though it’s hard to resist grabbing a handful of these delicious treats from a candy bowl, it shouldn’t be hard to resist stealing their displays – no matter how cool they may look wherever it is the suspect or suspects had in mind.”

Anyone with information should call Det. Sgt. James Glass of the Troop “D” Criminal Investigations Office at 732-441-4500, ext. 7207.
