MONMOUTH COUNTY – Nearly $15,000 has been raised for dogs in Hunterdon County in a “hoarding case reaching the triple digits,” according to the Monmouth County SPCA.

The MCSPCA assisted St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center is removing hundreds of dogs from an undisclosed location in Hunterdon County.

“All of these dogs seem to have had limited human contact and minimal to no veterinary care – we will need your support to get them all vaccinated, de-wormed and microchipped along with any other additional medical care they’ll need in the future including spay/neuter surgeries. Some of the dogs are pregnant and have masses and infections so will most definitely need extra care. Here’s what you can do to help these sweet dogs,” the MCSPCA said in a social media statement yesterday.

Monetary and supply donations are needed. The shelter needs blankets, towels, sheets, dogs toys, paper towels, cleaning supplies and dog food and treats.

Foster families are needed. However, none of the animals are up for adoption at this point.

To foster, write to Fostering@monmouthcountyspca.org.

Donations can be made through Facebook or sent to MCSPCA, “Hunterdon Case,” 260 Wall St., Eatontown NJ 07724.
