Man Indicted For Sexually Assaulting Woman At Gunpoint

  TINTON FALLS – A Keyport man has been indicted on four counts after threatening a woman during an attempted theft, officials said.

  Kareem Lee, 31, was charged with first-degree Armed Robbery, first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, and two related second-degree weapons offenses.

  Around 2:30 p.m. on July 21, Tinton Falls Police Department officers responded to a call at a motel on Route 33 for a report of a sexual assault. According to police, the victim said she had been sexually assaulted at gunpoint by a man who had entered the room.

  Through investigation, authorities identified Lee as the suspect.

  The investigation remains active and ongoing at this time.
