Man Fatally Injured In Monmouth County Crash

HAZLET – A Neptune man was fatally injured after being hit by a car near Route 36 on Jan. 21, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

  At approximately 2:24 a.m. on Jan. 21, 54-year old Robert Pisano was walking just east of Middle Road in Hazlet near Route 36. Pisano was struck by a 2008 Dodge Avenger traveling westbound. The driver, John F. Hermans, of Yonkers, New York, was not harmed in the incident.

  The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and Hazlet Police Department continue to investigate the incident. The crash scene was assisted by the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART).
