WALL — A former tenant of Wall Stadium Speedway was arrested after allegedly refusing to leave the property and barricading herself inside an office building, according to police.

Wall Township police said officers were dispatched to the speedway at about 9:39 a.m. January 17 following a report of a defiant trespasser involving new management at the facility.

Police said management and new leaseholders told officers that Emily Krause, 37, of Neptune, was on the property despite being advised she was no longer authorized to be there. Authorities determined her lease had expired two days earlier, on January 15.

Investigators said Krause allegedly placed locks on fences surrounding office and track access areas, preventing management from entering portions of the property. She then went inside an office and track overlook area and locked herself inside the building, police said.

Officers reported that Krause repeatedly refused commands to leave and did not cooperate with attempts to resolve the situation. Police were ultimately forced to enter the office to take her into custody.

Krause was charged with defiant trespass and obstruction. She was processed on a summons and released, pending a future appearance in Wall Township Municipal Court.

Patrolman Joseph Liddy was the arresting officer, police said.

As with all criminal charges, Krause is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
