MANALAPAN – The body of senior citizen was discovered after a fire in his residence on the night of October 28 according to Monmouth County officials.
It was stated that the man may have attempted to put out the fire himself at his Covered Bridge condominium on Pine Cluster Circle in the township.
Gordon’s Corner firefighters and Manalapan police responded to the fire at approximately 6:30 p.m. The cause of the fire and the manner of the unidentified man’s death is still under investigation according to authorities.
The investigation is being conducted by the Monmouth county Fire Marshal and Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
