MANCHESTER — Two 18-year-old men from Browns Mills were hospitalized Sunday evening following a dirt bike crash in the Greenwood Forest Wildlife Management Area, police said.
Officers responded around 8:15 p.m. to Hay Road, where they found a Kawasaki dirt bike with significant front-end damage and two injured riders.
According to a preliminary investigation, the Kawasaki was heading north when it collided with a Yamaha dirt bike that had initiated a U-turn on the trail. The Kawasaki rider, identified as William Vandergrift II, was thrown from the bike.
Vandergrift was taken to Community Medical Center by Manchester Township EMS, while the Yamaha rider, Dominic Valdivieso, was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital. Both were reported in stable condition.
The Manchester Township Division of Emergency Services, paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and Priced Rite Towing also responded.
The crash remains under investigation by Patrolman Gainey of the department’s Traffic Safety Unit.
