MANCHESTER — Lynk, a retired Manchester Township police dog whose 10-year career helped investigators seize millions of dollars in illegal drugs, died at home Sept. 25 after a brief illness, the department announced. He was 12.
Born in Hungary in 2014, Lynk served with Sgt. Steven Wendruff from August 2015 until his retirement in August 2025. Trained for patrol work and narcotics detection, he assisted local, county, state and federal agencies.
Police said investigations involving Lynk led to the seizure of about $23 million in illegal drugs and $2 million in cash.
After retiring, Lynk lived with Wendruff and his family. In a statement, Chief Antonio Ellis thanked Wendruff for their years of service together and offered condolences to the family.
