Officer Honored For Improvements To Range, Training

MANCHESTER – Sgt. Albert Vega was one of the officers recognized at the Manchester Township Police Departmental Awards, held annually.

Vega was appointed supervising firearms instructor on June 27, 2018. He is responsible for supervising firearms training and overseeing the police shooting range.

During his six months as supervisor, he’s implemented a progressive firearms program and made improvements to the shooting range, Chief Lisa Parker said.

“Sgt. Vega’s tenacity and exceptional work ethic have made it possible to accomplish so much in such a short period of time,” Parker added. “The overall improvements to the range and commitment to training that Sgt. Vega has implemented, have undoubtedly created a better training environment, and increased our training opportunities and commitment to the firearms program, all of which will beneficial to our officers.”
