More Than $33K In Scholarships Awarded

  MANCHESTER – Eighteen scholarships totaling $33,500 were awarded this year to Manchester students by the Manchester Township Educational Foundation.

  MTEF has awarded $200,500 to 117 students over the past 11 years, according to a press release from the organization.

  The awards are made possible by scholarship sponsors: the Hesse Family and the Ocean County Landfill Corp.; the Lakehurst-Manchester Lions Club; River Pointe Men’s and Women’s Clubs; the Senior Citizens Club of Crestwood Village IV; Mr. John Moderack, and Mrs. Romanelli.

  Scholarships awarded this year include:

  • MTEF/Charles J. Hesse III Memorial Scholarship, Christina Pender
  • MTEF/The Hesse Family Scholarship, Iga Kosikowski 
  • MTEF Special Award, Jack Felipe
  • MTEF/Dr. William DeFeo Scholarship, Andrew Dodd
  • MTEF/Lakehurst-Manchester LIONS Club, Morgan DePrizio
  • MTEF/River Pointe Men’s Club, Jason Javier and Emily Kurilla
  • MTEF/River Pointe Women’s Club, Valery Arango and Dominic Racioppi
  • MTEF/Senior Citizens Club of Crestwood Village IV,  Samantha Walton, Jada Spolizino, Nina Fatima Argayoso, Khayla Wehman, Frances Smalley, Elisa Rosario
