MANCHESTER – If not for the quick actions of Township police who responded to a call of a man with a gun in a vehicle, the individual may have died.

The officers responded to the scene of a man driving in the Beckerville area with a handgun and threatening to take his own life on June 11.

According to Captain James Komsa of the department’s Emergency Services Division, the officers “located the man, seized the gun, and transported him to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.  No charges were filed.”
