MANCHESTER – Support from residents and donors has helped the Manchester Township Police Department enhance safety for its K-9 unit.
Police officials thanked everyone who attended last year’s K-9 Pawsta Dinner and those who contributed to the Manchester Township Police Foundation, noting that the fundraising efforts led to the purchase of two ballistic vests for K-9 Roc and K-9 Buck.
The protective gear, supplied by High Noon K9, is designed to shield the dogs during active duty as they work alongside officers in patrol and public safety operations.
Department representatives said the vests provide an added layer of protection for the K-9s while also highlighting the community’s continued commitment to supporting local law enforcement and its canine partners.
Officials expressed appreciation for the ongoing generosity, emphasizing that the K-9s play a vital role in keeping the township safe.
