Aggressive Dog Killed By County Swat Team

  TOMS RIVER – An aggressive dog was shot and killed by a member of the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer on January 2.

  Billhimer reported that members of the County’s Regional SWAT Team encountered an aggressive dog who was fatally shot during the encounter.

  Members of the SWAT Team were in the process of presenting a warrant at a Manchester Township residence when they were approached by the dog.

  A member of the SWAT Team discharged his weapon once, fatally striking the dog.

   This is an ongoing investigation between the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice; Internal Affairs Unit, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office.
