PENNSYLVANIA – A Monmouth County man is facing a series of criminal charges after investigators say he exploited his position as a restaurant manager to sexually abuse and groom teenage employees in Bucks County.
Authorities allege Richard “Ricky” Brooks, 33, of Freehold, repeatedly targeted underage boys while supervising staff at a Saladworks in Plumstead Township, PA and a Wendy’s in Doylestown over several years. Prosecutors have charged Brooks with corruption of minors, indecent assault and offenses related to the distribution of controlled substances.
The case emerged earlier this year when Plumstead Township police received a ChildLine report alleging inappropriate conduct by a former manager at the Saladworks located in the Crosskeys Shopping Center. Detectives identified Brooks as the subject of the complaint and launched a broader investigation.
Police said interviews with multiple former employees uncovered a pattern of behavior extending beyond a single victim or workplace. Investigators reported speaking with 10 victims who were between 15 and 17 years old at the time of the alleged incidents.
According to police, the teens described being supplied with alcohol, nicotine products, medical marijuana cartridges and prescription medication, including Adderall, between 2020 and 2024. Investigators said the conduct allegedly escalated to sexual contact in at least one case.
Authorities also allege Brooks invited underage employees to his apartment and provided them with a key, allowing access to the residence where alcohol and drugs were allegedly made available. Similar allegations surfaced from Brooks’ time managing a Wendy’s in Doylestown and during his residency at the Fonthill Apartments, police said.
Detectives said the investigation revealed a consistent pattern in which Brooks used his role as a supervisor to gain trust and access to teenage employees across multiple locations.
A warrant for Brooks’ arrest was issued Dec. 11, 2025. He was taken into custody and arraigned Dec. 24. Court records show he was unable to post 10 percent of $100,000 bail and remains lodged in the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 12, 2026.
