
FREEHOLD – Authorities are investigating a crash in Howell Township that left a woman critically injured after her vehicle struck a building, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said Tuesday.
The incident occurred at about 9:52 a.m. Sunday on County Road 547 near Oak Glen Road. A preliminary investigation found the woman was driving south when she left the roadway, crossed a concrete median, entered a parking lot and hit the side of a business.
The driver was taken to a local hospital with numerous injuries and remains in critical condition, officials said.
The investigation is ongoing by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team and Howell police.
