HOWELL – Flooding made an emergency call to a Howell residence impossible to respond to by traditional means this afternoon.
Emergency crews received a call to Winding Brook off Route 547 involving a bariatric patient.
Police and other emergency personnel carried their equipment through the flood to the residence. The water rescue truck was also deployed, and the patient was loaded onto that and brought to dry ground, where she was then transferred onto their bariatric-equipped police rig.
