LAKEWOOD — Two people were injured and one person was charged in a six-vehicle crash that occurred on Cedar Bridge Avenue on Wednesday, police said.
At 5:09 p.m. on March 13, police sent out a Nixle alert advising of 10-vehicle crash on Cedar Bridge Avenue near the northbound Garden State Parkway entrance. Police later informed that this was in fact a six-vehicle crash.
One person was charged with assault by auto, DUI, driving while suspended, and numerous moving violations as a result of the accident. Two other individuals were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.
Five of the six vehicles involved sustained major damage, police said.
The investigation is ongoing. The identities of the injured and charged were not released.
