BRICK – Four people were arrested and charged for shoplifting after attempting to steal over $1,000 worth of merchandise from the Brick Target, police said.

Police were called to the Route 70 store at around 6 p.m. on March 14 for a shoplifting in progress. When the suspects attempted to wheel out over $1,000 worth of items in a shopping cart without paying, officers stopped and arrested them. The four suspects were identified as the same ones who stole over $400 worth of merchandise from the Target on February 2.

Police later seized thousands of dollars worth of items from other stores, including DSW and TJ Maxx, the Target stores in Manalapan and Howell, and the Kohl’s store in Howell, among others.

David Jamaluddin, 21, from Brooklyn, NY; Eduard Kagalovsky, 19, from Brooklyn, NY; Margarite Peconio, 19, from Queens, NY; and a juvenile were all charged with two counts of 3rd degree Shoplifting. Jamaluddin, Kagalovsky and Peconio were released on summonses, and the juvenile was turned over to their guardian.

At this time, the investigation is ongoing.
