BRICK – Brick Township Police are asking motorists to avoid sections of town where power lines are down and power it out.
A Nixle alert went out around 10:50 a.m. alerting motorists to avoid Cedar Bridge Road, where the power lines are down.
Power outages are affecting the surrounding area, including traffic lights. Police are asking people to stay away from Cedar Bridge Road, Brick Boulevard, Hooper Avenue, Drum Point Road and Mantoloking Road.
Police are on the scene directing traffic and JCP&L is fixing the issue as quickly as possible, officials said.
