MOUNT HOLLY – A Burlington County man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for fatally stabbing a Brick Township man whose body was discovered behind a Mount Holly store in 2021, prosecutors announced.
Sean Reynolds of Brick was found on September 7, 2021, by a child behind Millerie’s Market & Deli at Rancocas Road and King Street. An autopsy determined he had been stabbed multiple times the day before.
Authorities said investigators linked Reynolds to Jimir Wynn, 33, who was arrested on September 9, 2021, and charged in the killing. Prosecutors said the men had been together near Wynn’s home the night Reynolds was slain.
A Superior Court jury convicted Wynn on June 19 of aggravated manslaughter, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Burlington County Superior Court Judge Aimee Belgard sentenced Wynn to 30 years in state prison. Under the No Early Release Act, he must serve 85 percent of the term before becoming eligible for parole.
“We are grateful to the court for imposing this sentence,” Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw said. “This was an extremely violent attack. We extend our deepest sympathy to the family and hope this result will bring them some degree of comfort.”
