Brick Man Arrested For Distributing Child Porn

 BRICK – A Brick Township man has been arrested and charged for sharing child pornography online, police said.

 The investigation began after the the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, through the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, identified a person in Ocean County who was distributing child pornography through the internet.

  Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit identified Luis Castaneda-Contreras, 33, of Brick Township, as the source and uploading images. On June 16, detectives executed a search warrant on Castaneda-Contreras’ home and seized multiple electronic devices that contained images of child porn.

 As a result, Castaneda-Contreras was arrested at his job in Middletown and charged with Distribution of Child Pornography and Possession of Child Pornography. He was processed at Brick Township Police Department Headquarters and transported to the Ocean County Jail where he is currently lodged pending a detention hearing.
