Two Injured In Ocean County Crash

  BERKELEY – After colliding head on with another car, a Whiting man was left hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, police said.

  The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. Friday in the area of Pinewald-Keswick Road near Dover Road.

  Police said William Posa, 79, was traveling east on Pinewald-Keswick Road in a Kia Optima when he veered left and crossed over the center line into oncoming traffic.

  Daniel Coliente Lune, 33, of Toms River, was heading west in a Nissan Ultima and collided head-on with Posa.

  Posa suffered life-threatening injuries to the head and abdomen and was airlifted to Atlantic City Trauma Center, police said. He is currently listed in stable condition. Coliente Lune was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center for multiple non-life-threatening injuries.

  Pinewald-Keswick Road was closed until about 9:30 a.m. as a result of the crash for investigation and removal of the cars.

  At this time, the investigation is ongoing.
