Triple Homicide Under Investigation In Ocean County

  BERKELEY – Police are investigating an incident where three people were murdered before the killer committed suicide.

  The tragedy took place in the early morning hours of March 10, according to a release from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office. Their Major Crime Unit is investigating, in addition to the Berkeley Township Police Department and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit.

  Preliminary findings indicate that three individuals were fatally shot. The suspected shooter subsequently turned the weapon on himself and has been pronounced deceased at Community Medical Center in Toms River, officials said.

  “This investigation remains active and ongoing, and additional information will be released at the appropriate time,” Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.

  An insider to Jersey Shore Online with knowledge of the case reported that the victims were shot many times. There was a high number of bullet holes found in their home and the suspect had a significant amount of ammunition on him.

  There were children in the home who were not harmed, the source said.
