Surveillance Camera Helps Nab Liquor Store Burglar

BEACHWOOD – Surveillance footage helped Beachwood Police arrest a man connected to an Oct. 4 burglary.

Police arrested William Swenson, 55, after he reportedly broke into Sawyers Liquor Store on Route 9. He is charged with burglary and theft on Oct. 6, and taken to Ocean County Jail.

Det. Sgt. Dan Altman confirmed with Jersey Shore Online late Tuesday that several packs of cigarettes and two bottles of alcohol were stolen, and about $400 worth of damage to the front was sustained.
