Student Suspended For Threatening Lyrics

BERKELEY – A Central Regional High School student wrote a song with threats in the lyrics and was suspended, a school official said.

The student, who was 16, had written a rap song that had threats in it, Superintendent Triantafillos Parlapanides said. The incident was on Feb. 23 and he was suspended that day. Police were notified.

There was no weapon involved, Parlapanides said.
