BERKELEY – Residents of Holiday City at Berkeley are invited to participate in an Operation Take Back event on May 2 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Clubhouse 2 on Jamaica Blvd.
Residents are encouraged to drop off their unused or unwanted expired prescription medication in an effort to keep it out of the wrong hands.
The event is being sponsored by Mayor Carmen Amato in conjunction with Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato, Board of Freeholders and Township of Berkeley.
Ocean County agencies in attendance include the Surrogates Office, Sheriff, Senior Services, Consumer Affairs and Prosecutors Office, as well as the Berkeley Township Police, Recycling, Fire Prevention, Recreation and Municipal Alliance.
The event is free of charge. Information will be provided to attendees and refreshments will be served.
