BERKELEY – The Holy Temple Church Of God In Christ will be hosting a free community day on July 22.

Located on 1st Avenue in Manitou Park, just north of South Toms River, the church will be closing down part of that street to traffic so that pedestrians can walk around safely, Pastor David Graham said.

There will be face painting, an inflatable, and other games for kids. At 10:30, there will be a martial arts demonstration by professor Mark Walker.

The choir will kick off the festivities at 10:15 a.m. and the day will close down at around 3 p.m. In between, there will be hot dogs, funnel cakes, and drinks. Booths will be set up by local organizations doing diabetes testing, nutrition demonstrations, blood pressure screenings, and other sources of help and information.

The entire event is free and the community is welcome, Graham said.
