BAYVILLE – A GoFundMe has raised a little over $20,000 for a local family who lost everything in a massive house fire Monday evening.
Ella Ponte organized the fundraiser for her family to help rebuild their lives after their home went up in flames.
In the GoFundMe, Ella wrote that around 1:20 a.m., her family got a call that no one ever wants to get.
“The house my parents worked so hard to get us was in flames and we were losing everything. It is not like us to ask for help, but in a time like this, there is not much else we can do,” Ella wrote. “These next few days, weeks, and months are going to be hard, but we are supported by so many amazing people that love us and will do anything to help us.”
