Five Arrested In Cocaine Ring Bust

BERKELEY – Police arrested five persons allegedly operating a crack cocaine ring out of a Wojtyla Court home in Holiday Heights Monday.

Police arrested:

Taquan Pearson 37, of Wojtyla Court, and charged him with possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute;

Nicole Vorhees 48, of Route 9, Berkeley, and charged her with possession of drug paraphernalia;

Lynsay Leitner, 39, of Wojtyla Court, and charged her with possession of paraphernalia and failure to appear warrant for $350;

Edwin Nieves, 42, of Wojtyla Court, and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia;

And Michelle Lanzieri, 52, of Wojtyla Court, and charged her with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Pearson and Nieves were taken to Ocean County Jail. Lanzieri, Vorhees and Leitner were processed and later released on summonses.

Local police, along with the Ocean County SWAT Team, executed the warrant at 9:45 p.m. April 29. They said they found a large quantity of cocaine packaged for distribution as crack cocaine, paraphernalia to produce, package and distribute the drugs, and large amounts of cash.
