BERKELEY – Mayor Carmen Amato honored veterans during the township’s Armed Forces and Memorial Day ceremonies recently.

In addition, he has called for a new Veterans Administration Clinic in Toms River.

“These are members of the greatest generation. It is an honor to represent  these dedicated men who fought in WWII and the Korean and Vietnam conflicts,” Amato said. “They are entitled to the best medical care in the world. We, as a grateful nation, owe it to them. They should also have easy access to these services as a small token of gratitude for their selfless service to our country.”
