Suspect Charged with Bias Intimidation

  BRICK – A man was arrested for harassing a shopper in Target, police said.

  Francis Dudas, 51, of Brick was charged with Bias Intimidation Simple Assault, Bias Intimidation Harassment, Simple Assault, Harassment and Terroristic Threats.

  The incident took place at around 7:30 p.m. on April 20 at the Target on Route 70. The victim told police that a man began to harass him as he went into the store, then followed him as he shopped, taunting him. When the victim told the suspect that he was going to call police, the suspect told him to call an ambulance, too.

  Surveillance footage and tips led to the suspect being identified. He was found in a wooded area east of Cedar Bridge Avenue by police using a drone.

  Charges are merely accusations until the suspect has his day in court.
