TRENTON – A Lacey Township man pleaded guilty July 15 to luring/enticing a child, and will likely be sentenced to 5 years in state prison.

As part of his plea deal, Dylan Daffron, 28, will also be required to register as a sex offender and be subject to parole supervision for life.

Daffron believed he was in contact with a 15-year-old boy he met on social media back in 2018. Instead, the “boy” was undercover police officer, part of a sting coined “Operation Open House” that lead to the arrest of 24 child predators.

Daffron was arrested Sept. 8, 2018 after a period of sending sexually explicit messages to the “boy.” He arrived at a house in Toms River, where law enforcement was set up to arrest offenders.
