Sheriff’s Deputy Faces Federal Child Porn Charges

PHILADELPHIA — An Eatontown man who was a Middlesex County Sheriff’s Deputy was charged with producing, distributing and possessing child pornography, U.S. Attorney William M. McSwain said Friday.

Joshua Padilla, 33, allegedly took a 17-year-old girl to Northampton County in Pennsylvania, where he engaged in illicit sexual conduct, recorded the encounters, and uploaded the video to an online platform.

He had been charged in February on multiple state felony charges before the federal charges were filed.

If convicted, he faces 60 years’ in prison.
