Man In Critical Condition Following Collision On Rt. 524

HOWELL – Howell Police continue to investigate a motor vehicle crash that left a Freehold resident in critical condition on Jan. 1.

At approximately 2:48 p.m., a 33-year old Lakewood resident was driving a 2016 red Honda Civic along County Route 524 near Howell road when he/she struck a 2016 Triumph Tiger 800 Motorcycle from behind. Driving the motorcycle was a 59-year old Freehold resident.

The motorcycle driver was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.

An investigation by Howell Police and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office has revealed numerous witnesses to the crash.
