STAFFORD – Construction will begin September 10 on the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s (NJDOT) East Road improvements project, causing left and right shoulder closures along Route 72.
The construction will take place from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. daily for the next few months, according to NJDOT. Motorists should expect shoulder closures for approximately one mile, on both sides, along Route 72.
Work will begin by contractor Earle Asphalt Co. with a lane closure on Route 72, from the Garden State Parkway and the Stafford Square Shopping Center, to create a work zone for drainage work.
NJDOT noted that the work schedule and timing of the project is subject to the weather.
